Biografi
Emma Nishimura bor og arbeider i Toronto. Hennes arbeid varierer fra tradisjonelle etsninger, pigmenttrykk og tegninger til ulike installasjoner. Ved hjelp av disse mediene tar arbeidet hennes opp ideer om hukommelse og tap som er forankret i familiehistorier og nedarvede fortellinger. Hennes arbeider er representert ved flere offentlige og private samlinger, og har vært utstilt både nasjonalt og internasjonalt. For tiden er Emma styreleder for fotografi, trykking og publikasjoner ved OCAD University. Hun har også tidligere undervist ved Sheridan College og University of Guelph.
