Abstrakt ekspresjonisme - Lars Holmström

Med utgangspunkt i abstrakt ekspresjonisme arbeider Lars Holmström med flere medier, blant annet som billedkunstner og grafiker. Gjennom en streng komposisjon arbeider han frem en rytme i verkene, basert på inntrykk fra kunstneren selv, Som grafiker arbeider han blant annet med photogravure. 
Lars Holmström er representert i samlingen til blant annet den Finske Stat, Howard Miller Collection og Kiasma museet for moderne kunst i Finland.

Born 1949 in Tampere, Finland.

 

  • 1973 Painter and graphic artist, Lahti Art School, Lahti, Finland.
  • 1980-90 Director and teacher of painting and graphics at Kankaanpää Art School, Kankaanpää, Finland.
  • 1983 Honorary mention in The 5th Polish-Finnish Maritime Graphic Art Competition, Gdansk, Poland.
  • 1991-92 Director of Art Department at Tampere School of Art and Communications, Tampere, Finland.
  • 1992-2005 Chairman of The Tampere Artists' Association, Finland.
  • 1993-97 The Finnish State Scholarship of Art, five years.
  • 1997 Prize in The 17th International Mini Print, Barcelona, Spain.
  • 1999 A member of the Dimensio Artists´ Group, Finland.
  • 2005 Third prize in the 10th European Biennial Competition for Graphic Art, Brügge, Belgium.
