John Kørner er utdannet ved Det Kgl Danske Kunstakademi i København.


Profilerte John Kørner

John Kørner er en av Danmarks mest profilerte kunstnere, og har deltatt på utstillinger ved blant annet Tate London, Arken Museum for kunst i København, Moderna Museet i StockholmAarhus Kunstmuseum og på Art Basel.  Som grafiker arbeider John Kørner med blant annet teknikker som etsning.

John Kørner er representert i samlingen til blant andre Tate Gallery, London, UK, The Saatchi Collection, London, UK, Rubell Family Collection, Miami, USA, Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Arken Museum for Kunst, Royal Museum of Fine Arts, København og Herning Museum of Art.

I 2008 fikk har tredje prisen i Carniegie Art Award. I 2009 startet han utsmykkingen for det danske kronprinsparet på Amalienborg Slott i København. Hans serie med falne danske soldater i Afghanistan vakte stor debatt i Danmark i 2008.
